Recently a New Jersey Pastor Cedric Miller forbid his Church Leadership from having Facebook accounts. The Pastor said Facebook was a “portal to infidelity”. The Pastor was involved in a Ménage à trois with his wife, and a male church assistant. This raises the question, is Facebook to blame for infidelity? The Pastor goes on to say as he has counseled with many married couples this past year and Facebook has been the common denominator as a conduit to infidelity.
What do you think is Facebook temptation the scapegoat or the cause? What’s next will people say my cell phone made me do it or is there validity to the thought that all these modern conveniences make it easier to be unfaithful? What if you commit a criminal act because you need money to support your drug addition is it the drugs fault? If we eliminated Facebook and text messaging would we be more faithful to our mates?
