Each year we celebrate the birth of Dr. King we honor his life, and his sacrifice w/ a National Holiday and celebrations, but have we transferred the meaning of his philosophy and example of leadership to the generations that have followed? Have we taken for granted the Civil Rights Movement an it's impact on our lives?

Where are our modern day Dr. Kings? We our faced today with many challenges. We face drugs that have ravaged our communities and violent crime. We face poverty and a failing educational system. We face declining morals and abuse in homes. Where are the advocates and the leaders that we need to step out and make a difference in these areas?

Dr. King knew he was giving his life to give us liberty. What will you give? Tonight we will focus on his philosophy and how that worked to bring change and apply that thinking to the issues we face in 2011. Let’s celebrate Dr. King “Live In The Vocal Booth”
